About NGMA

National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) was earlier famously known as Sir C. J. Hall. lt was donated by Sir Cowasji Jehangir to the city of Mumbai in 1911.

The art gallery boasts of a space which meets international standards for lighting, humidity and temperature control. The building has five exhibition galleries, lecture auditorium, library, cafeteria, storage and office space for permanent collection and travelling shows.

The new art gallery will cater to a new generation examining paintings and sculptures in awe as they are informed about artists and art. NGMA also conducts exhibitions incorporating Indian as well as foreign artists.

Museum Time:
Open every day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Closed on Mondays and National Holidays

Entry Fee:
Indian Nationals: Rs 20
Foreign Nationals: Rs 500
Children/Students: Free

By Taxi from nearest railway stations, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST, Central Railway) and Churchgate (Western Railway) at minimum fare.
