178 cancer patients of Tata Memorial Centre battling with Covid-19 disease were taking treatment at NSCI dome, Worli. Out of this surprisingly 126 patients have successfully fought Covid-19 and they have been discharged.
It has been proved that with proper treatment Covid-19 can be treated successfully with any type of patient.
BMC had made special arrangements in NSCI dome to treat these cancer patients coming from all over India. Considering their low immunity power these patients were vulnerable to Covid-19. It was difficult to treat these patients for both the disease in Tata Memorial.
The patients admitted from Tata Memorial were the age range from a 2 year child to 77 year old patient. One foreign patient too included. The average age range is 50 years.
Out of 178l, 52 patients are still taking treatment and surprisingly all are doing good. As per the records of other countries, almost 50% of cancer affected with Covid 19 has died.
