Super Hero Saves The Child Just Before Hit by Train & Donate Half of Reward For His Education

It was hard to believe as if the video clip was from a movie where a man saving a kid fallen on railway tracks just before a train would hit them.

Mayur Shelke will utilize half of the reward money for the education of the boy.

The heroic effort of Mayur Shelke, a pointsman with Central railway who saved the child. In the short video it was seen that a 6 six years old boy walking with a blind woman fell on the railway tracks of Vangani station. A fast train was approaching the station. Mayur Shelke responded in a fraction of a second and ran towards the boy. He immediately lifted the boy and himself climbed on the platform seconds before a train could hit him.

Central Railways uploaded the video on Twitter and applauded Shelke. Also Railway minister Piyush Goyal also tweeted the video, adding, “Very proud of Mayur Shelke, Railwayman from the Vangani Railway Station in Mumbai who has done an exceptionally courageous act, risked his own life & saved a child’s life.

Shelke stays in Neral with his parents, wife and 10-day-old son. While speaking to The Indian Express, Shelke, who has worked with the railways for five years, said, “I was on the tracks. My work was to give the green signal to Udyan Express. It was just me and the station master standing on the platform. I saw Udyan Express heading towards the child. I had to save his life and started running towards him. Within seconds I got scared and thought of backing out. I even slowed down. But I could not see him die and started running again.”
