On Sunday 4th April 2021, the Government of Maharashtra announced a weekend lockdown in the state due to the increasing numbers of Covid 19 positive cases. Below is the information on Mini lockdown and strict restrictions.
Mini lockdown from 8 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday and strict restrictions from Monday 8 pm onwards.
Night curfew to continue and prohibitory orders issued under section 144 will be forced during the daytime during the week.
Maharashtra govt took Mini lockdown decision with effect from Monday, April 5:
- Hotels, restaurants & bars will remain close, take away & parcel service continue
- Malls & shops & religious places will also remain close
- Essential services and industry will continue to remain open
- The private office will ask employees to work from home.
- State govt office & Mantralaya will function with 50% staff
- No restrictions on travel, auto taxi buses but restrictions on passengers
- The weekend starting from Saturday (8.00 PM) to Monday (8.00 AM) complete lockdown between
- No political gathering & programs allowed
- Industries and production sector, vegetable markets will function with Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs)
- Construction sites will operate if there is an accommodation facility for workers.
