In the second wave of Covid, Mumbai is going through a severe health crisis. There is a lack of ambulance, leading to long arrival times (up to 12 hours !) making survival difficult, leading to deaths that can be preventable.

To help the situation, students and alumni of IIT Bombay have started an initiative called HelpNow. The initiative was taken by 3 IITians.

HelpNow provides sanitized and well-equipped ambulances with ventilators, within 15 to 20 minutes across Mumbai.  HelpNow 24×7 network is available to patients, healthcare workers, hospitals, testing labs and Government bodies through the helpline number 88 99 88 99 52.

How it works:

1. Patient Calls 8899889952

2. Tech platform finds you the nearest help

3. Information is sent to the patient about the nature of the treatment to be given.

4. Take the patient to the relevant hospital

HelpNow services are also available in Bengaluru, Delhi and Pune.
