Saisha Shinde is an Indian fashion designer. She is known for being the first transgender fashion designer in India. In 2022, she had also designed Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu’s winning gown.

AltBalaji’s hit reality show Lock Upp has been the talk of the town since it aired in March. The show’s fashionable and sassy inmate, Saisha Shinde, had announced during her stay inside the badass jail that she will share a part of her earnings from the show to the betterment of the LGBTQ+ community.

Well guess what, on 30th May 2022 she fulfilled her promise. The famous designer, was recently seen at Garima Greh, a shelter home for trans individuals, which is implemented by TWEET Foundation, for a meet and greet with their residents. It was an exciting afternoon where Saisha bonded with each of the residents, getting to know their stories, their challenges and motivated them to work hard and never give up. Saisha was overwhelmed with all the love she received from them.

“There’s so much to learn from them. My aim is to bring their achievements out in this world as it’s very important for people to know and learn from them.”

– Saisha Shinde

She ended the day on a very promising note that this was only the beginning of her long journey with the foundation and there’s a lot more she plans to do to uplift the community to newer heights.
