The delivery marks the commencement of the first-ever Gross Cost Contract (GCC) electric bus service to BEST. A total of 340 electric buses to be delivered in a phased manner as per schedule under the government of India\u2019s FAME II initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These electric AC buses were flagged off by the\u00a0<strong>Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray<\/strong>\u00a0in the presence of dignitaries from the Maharashtra state government, BEST and Tata Motors, at an event at Nariman Point, Mumbai.
