Weather Alert For Mumbai & Maharashtra from 9th July to 13th July 2022

Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Mumbai have issued a weather warning for Mumbai and Maharashtra this week due to the development of a Low Pressure Area over Odisha & neighbourhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. There is also off-shore trough at mean sea level from Gujarat coast to Karnataka Coast.

The role of low pressure system over Bay of Bengal plays a significant role in the Monsoon activity. The formation of such systems enhances the rainfall activities over the west coast of India and the areas through which this system takes the path.
