Foundation & History
The global International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was founded in 1966 by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in New York.
The Juhu temple story began in the early 1970s when Srila Prabhupada envisioned a major Krishna temple in Mumbai. The land acquisition faced legal and financial hurdles, but after years of effort, the temple complex was successfully developed.
