Mumbai along with districts of Palghar recorded very heavy to extremely rainfall. Mumbai recorded 231.4 mm of rainfall the highest of this season. The highest rainfall recorded by Mumbai this season.

This active phase of monsoon is anticipated due to the cyclonic circulation over North Konkan and adjoining South Gujarat between 2.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level.
Rainfall recorded at 0830 hours IST of 25th June 2018:

Colaba – 99.0 & Santacruz 231.4
Dahanu – 225.0 mm in Palghar district

The highest rainfall recorded over Mumbai in the month of June is:
Colaba – 478 mm on 10th June 1991
Santacruz – 399 mm on 10th June 1991

Also good news is that the lake areas which supply drinking water to Mumbai received very good rainfall.
Modak Sagar – 94.0 mm
Tansa – 82.0
Vihar – 298.0 mm
